Trump: I Asked Google About the Possibility of Renaming the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean After Me

Al-Taj News – During a meeting with an audience in a conservative-leaning area of the state of Georgia on Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that he had contacted Google—as a joke—to raise the idea of naming one of the oceans after himself.

After recounting his previous attempts to change the names of the “Gulf of Mexico” and “Lake Ontario,” Trump said, “The only thing we’re missing is an ocean.”

He added, “I called Google and said to them: Let me ask you one question… We need an ocean. What do you think about naming the Atlantic Ocean or the Pacific Ocean the Trump Ocean?”

He continued, “They replied, saying: Mr. President, we can’t do that; oceans are different from other things, as they cover areas that include many countries, so we can’t do that.” I told them that I was only joking.
